Dr. Amani Morra
We welcomed Dr. Morra into our practice in August 2008. She received her dental degree with honors from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 2001. After practicing general dentistry for two years in New Brunswick, she pursued her orthodontic training at the University of Manitoba where she earned her Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics in 2006.
Dr. Morra's treatment philosophy primarily focuses on providing individualized quality care. She is a firm believer in light force mechanics, non-extraction treatment when possible, and a comprehensive diagnostic approach for children, adolescents, and adults. When treatment planning, emphasis is placed on facial esthetics, both in the present and in the future.
Dr. Morra is an active member of several dental and orthodontic associations and has enjoyed teaching dentistry and orthodontics at the University of Manitoba and at UBC. She has authored numerous publications and has presented research at national and international orthodontic conferences. In her spare time, Dr. Morra enjoys cycling, hiking, cooking, and snowboarding.
